This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Creating work plans, project schedules, and critical milestones
• Conducting and reviewing essential functions of client finance and accounting operations, including account reconciliations, payroll, month-end closing processes, and preparation of financial statements
• Delivering Outsourced Controller services
• Overseeing a fully remote accounting team, including providing training as necessary
• Maintaining frequent and effective communication with client contacts
• Identifying client challenges and deficiencies, and assisting in proposing solutions
• Managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of client engagements and our teams
• Onboarding new clients
• Performing and reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations
• Analyzing client financial data and general ledger details to ensure completeness, accuracy, and appropriate account classification
• Preparing financial statements and key management reports for reporting purposes
• Over 8 years of proven experience in a CAS practice within a CPA firm, in the accounting department of a private industry, or a blend of both
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA license is preferred
• Established success in managing both projects and personnel in a remote or hybrid setting
• Experience working with real estate, family office, or high-net-worth clients is advantageous
• Capable of handling multiple client engagements and competing deadlines simultaneously without compromising accuracy or responsiveness
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards
• Proficient in cloud-based accounting platforms (such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar)
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial client stakeholders
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and accountable — this role operates remotely and requires effective management of one’s own workload
