This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Control Systems Engineer II offers technical support to plan, schedule, and implement hardware and software engineering for Building Automation Systems projects across healthcare, industrial, commercial, and critical technology sectors.
• Collaborate with engineers, construction contractors, equipment suppliers, and client personnel to ensure the effective operation and acceptance of automation and software solutions.
• Depend on established instructions and guidelines to carry out job functions.
• Communicate and act in alignment with the organization's goals and values, as well as departmental objectives.
• Aid in the development and execution of engineering documents.
• Perform fundamental engineering tasks and design activities under the supervision of a senior engineer.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Revit software to create drawings and visual aids.
• Assist in reviewing and creating drawing details, schedules, sequences of operations, and drawing content as directed.
• Help in selecting and sourcing DDC programmable controllers to fit the application requirements.
• Learn to source and select instrumentation, sensors, and field devices.
• Review and potentially assist with shop drawings, submittals, product data, operations and maintenance manuals, and as-built documents.
• Support pre-construction activities.
• Survey existing building conditions and compile technical reports of findings.
• Gather data and information for construction documents.
• Prepare design and construction documents for the project.
• Work collaboratively as part of the engineering team while closely interacting with the project management team.
• Assist with punch lists and project closeout documents.
• Contribute to project communication and reporting.
• Proficient in using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), coupled with excellent organizational skills for file management.
• Competent in completing tasks accurately and with a strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with control system principles.
• Understanding of IoT, smart building solutions, building automation systems, and/or DDC/PLC systems.
• Knowledge of OT protocols (BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, and MQTT).
• Capability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance workflows, optimize operational processes, and drive company-wide innovation.
• Ability to thrive in a remote work environment through effective communication and organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness, and resourcefulness in a distraction-free workspace.
• Capacity to adhere to company and site safety regulations.
• Proficient in analyzing and preparing documents, reports, and correspondence.
• Effective communication skills in both oral and written forms, covering technical and non-technical information.
• Ability to work successfully both as part of a team and independently with moderate supervision.
• Skillful in working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
