Control Account Manager – CAM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Overseeing designated control accounts and facilitating program execution through effective planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance evaluation.

• Creating and sustaining Earned Value Management (EVM) processes, metrics, and reporting for the assigned programs.

• Monitoring and assessing program performance indicators, including ETC, EAC, CPI, SPI, variance analysis, and corrective action strategies.

• Managing parallel program tracking systems and databases, conducting aggregate analyses across various data sources to ensure consistency, reporting accuracy, and actionable program insights.

• Collaborating with subcontractor-led Control Account Managers (CAMs) and external stakeholders to assist in the collection, validation, integration, and reporting of program performance data, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and EVMS protocols.

• Aiding in the development and upkeep of Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), resource planning, and baseline management activities, including participation in Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs), Joint Surveillance Reviews (JSRs), and DCMA compliance audits, as necessary.

• Working alongside Program Managers and Engineering teams to identify risks, opportunities, and performance trends, while supporting and maintaining a comprehensive Risk, Issue, and Opportunity (RIO) management process.

• Compiling and delivering program status reports, financial analyses, and presentations for executive leadership.

• Engaging in cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment between program execution and contractual obligations, including coordination across various networks, systems, and classification environments when required.

• Contributing to proposal efforts, basis of estimate development, and program initiation planning activities as needed.

• Continuously enhancing program controls, reporting processes, and operational efficiencies throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Control Account Management, Program Controls, Program Finance, Project Management, Cost/Schedule Management, or a related field supporting defense or government projects.

• Practical experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and a solid understanding of cost, schedule, and performance management principles.

• Proficient in analyzing complex datasets and converting them into actionable insights.

• Background in supporting government contracts with knowledge of FAR, EVMS, and best practices in program execution.

• Strong financial acumen with experience in forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.

• Experience collaborating closely with technical, engineering, and program management teams within a cross-functional setting.

• Highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.

• Excellent communication skills, able to engage with stakeholders from individual contributors to executive leadership and clients.

• Familiarity with tools such as MS Project, Excel, Google Sheets, Jira, Confluence, GitLab, and similar platforms to facilitate program controls, reporting, forecasting, performance tracking, and data consistency across diverse systems and technical environments.

• Experience in integrating project controls, scheduling, cost management, and reporting tools to support efficient program execution and performance tracking.

• A proactive problem solver who is dedicated to process improvement and operational excellence.

• Possession of a PMP, CAM Certification, EVMS Certification, or a similar credential is preferred, but not mandatory.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance.
