Contract Virtual Care Veterinary Technician – Telemedicine

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +10 more states.

📋 Description

• Interacting with clients: Engage with pet owners through the EMR messaging system, offering support, education, and advice regarding their pets’ health and wellness.

• Handling EMR tasks: Efficiently manage refill approvals, prescription requests, asynchronous case reviews, and renewals.

• Verifying and processing prescriptions: Collaborate with partner pharmacies to ensure timely follow-up on client requests.

• Addressing pharmacy holds: Complete necessary approvals and maintain communication with both doctors and clients as required.

• Assisting with doctor coverage: Oversee shared veterinary administrative communications and provide support on a daily basis as needed.

• Cross-functional collaboration: Offer insights to enhance processes, systems, and workflows.

• Engaging in training and process enhancement: Participate in telehealth initiatives, compliance, and team development efforts.

• Delivering exceptional client care: Provide compassionate, high-quality service while adhering to clinical protocols and adapting to individual cases.

⛳️ Requirements

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT, CVT, RVT).

• 2–3+ years of clinical experience in small animal veterinary medicine; emergency or specialty experience is advantageous.

• Proficient in using digital tools (telehealth platforms, EMRs, chat systems).
