Contract Virtual Care Veterinary Technician – Telemedicine

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +10 more states.

📋 Description

• Engaging with clients: Interact with pet owners through the EMR messaging system, offering support, education, and guidance on their pets' health and wellness.

• Managing EMR tasks: Efficiently handle refill approvals, prescription requests, asynchronous case reviews, and renewals.

• Verifying and processing prescriptions: Collaborate with partner pharmacies to ensure proper follow-up on client requests.

• Resolving pharmacy holds: Complete necessary approvals and communicate with both doctors and clients as needed.

• Supporting doctor coverage: Oversee shared veterinary administrative communications and provide assistance daily as required.

• Collaborating cross-functionally: Offer feedback to enhance processes, systems, and workflows.

• Participating in training and process improvement: Engage in telehealth initiatives, compliance efforts, and team development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT, CVT, RVT).

• 2–3+ years of clinical experience in small animal veterinary medicine; experience in emergency or specialty settings is a plus.

• Comfortable utilizing digital tools, including telehealth platforms, EMRs, and chat systems.
