Contract Staff Software Engineer – Bug Burndown

📋 Description

• Address Firefox’s WebCompat bug backlog by completing or confirming the diagnoses of long-standing site-breakage issues.

• Create WebCompat interventions when necessary.

• Develop straightforward AI-assisted fixes and implement them.

• Reproduce and assess incoming reports of site breakages.

• Convert reported breakages into diagnosed, actionable, or resolved bugs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong web development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and a knack for debugging real-world site breakages.

• Proficient with browser developer tools and cross-browser diagnosis.

• Comfortable utilizing AI tools to expedite diagnosis and solutions.

• Knowledge of Gecko is a significant advantage (but can be learned).

• Previous experience in WebCompat or web standards is preferred.
