Contract Physician – Multi-State Licensure, Medicaid/Medicare Enrolled

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct synchronous telehealth consultations (via video and/or phone) for patients as part of care initiatives in collaboration with health plans.

• Perform targeted, efficient clinical evaluations tailored to the type of visit (e.g., treatment-oriented, condition-specific, and preventive/wellness appointments).

• Analyze diagnostic findings (including at-home lab results) and offer clear, actionable recommendations, encompassing treatment, follow-up care, and referrals as suitable.

• Formulate and execute evidence-based care plans within the designated scope and aligned with program protocols and payer requirements.

• Deliver patient education and counseling regarding diagnoses, treatment alternatives, preventive care, and subsequent steps.

• Ensure adherence to state telemedicine regulations, payer guidelines, and internal clinical protocols.

• Accurately document all patient interactions promptly in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO, Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (**required**).

• Active, unrestricted medical licenses in good standing; licensure in **10+ states highly preferred (priority states: AR, GA, MS, TX, WI, LA, AL).**

• **Medicaid enrollment** in multiple states is highly preferred; must be in good standing where enrolled.

• Must be enrolled in and in good standing with **Medicare**.

• Proven ability to provide high-quality, efficient virtual care, including diagnostic interpretation and care planning.

• Strong bedside manner with the capability to establish trust and communicate effectively in a telehealth environment.

• Over 1 year of telehealth experience preferred.

• Comfortable using digital health tools; tech-savvy and adaptable to changing workflows and protocols.

• Maintains compliance with HIPAA and all relevant privacy and security regulations.

• Ability to operate within structured care models and clinical protocols while exercising sound clinical judgment.
