Contract Negotiator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.

📋 Description

• Coordinate and negotiate agreements with hospitals, physicians, IPAs, PPMs, individual providers, multispecialty groups, and ancillary services.

• Recruit and build provider networks for designated regions and provider categories.

• Identify and reach out to potential providers.

• Lead negotiations with assigned hospitals, physicians, and ancillary services.

• Ensure that negotiations align with unit cost targets, company goals, and approximate the State’s reimbursement to providers.

• Facilitate and manage provider setup and contract configurations to ensure accurate claims processing.

• Evaluate and monitor provider performance standards and financial outcomes of contracts.

• Assist with and keep track of credentialing processes.

• Organize provider focus groups.

• Collaborate with internal teams and contracted providers to ensure contract compliance is implemented and maintained.

• Perform other duties as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Marketing, a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 2+ years of experience in contracting, provider relations, or other related fields, preferably within a healthcare, managed care, or insurance setting.

• Valid driver's license.

• Candidates must be available to work during Central Time business hours.

• Possible travel of up to 10% within Mississippi.
