Contract Manager, Pharma

📋 Description

• Oversee the negotiation, preparation, financial analysis, business review, and execution of pharmaceutical contracts for Option Care.

• Address reimbursement challenges stemming from compliance with contracts.

• Manage performance reporting for clients.

• Tackle daily issues that may arise from existing contractual relationships with accounts.

• Coordinate the negotiation of pharmaceutical supply chain, distribution, and service contracts according to company guidelines for the designated geography pertaining to home and alternate site infusion therapy services offered by Option Care.

• Oversee the internal implementation of assigned agreements with corporate stakeholders, as well as regional intake, operations, and revenue cycle teams to ensure successful contract implementation and execution.

• Supervise external implementations and cultivate ongoing relationships with assigned accounts.

• Communicate with assigned accounts regarding demographic changes to Option Care Facilities to ensure trade partner agreements remain current for national continuity.

• Initiate and lead meetings with health plans and corporate teams, including Pharmaceutical Program Services and Operational leadership, to review provider agreement performance data and scorecards.

• Recommend strategies to mitigate risk to the organization.

• Identify and evaluate the impact of potential industry changes or modifications related to new state or federal legislation.

• Resolve issues related to pricing and service fees identified by internal and/or external trading partners that may pertain to contract compliance.

• Attend client meetings when appropriate, collaborating with Pharmaceutical Program, Business Development, or other representatives.

• Maintain effective working relationships with internal departments such as Operations, Legal, Sales, Trade, Business Development, and any other departments involved with or affected by managed care contracts.

• Utilize and engage in the deployment of a new contract management system.

• Complete credentialing applications when required for new contract access.

• Initiate, organize, and facilitate regular meetings with Legal counterparts to ensure timely review and execution of contracts within the DocuSign and Salesforce environments.

• Schedule monthly meetings with assigned Contracting Mentor(s) for development opportunities.

• Participate in regional meetings as directed by the VP of Contracting.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma and 5 years of experience in managed care account management, contract analysis, or administration, or with managed care payers through patient registration or revenue cycle in the healthcare industry.

• Experience working with managed care clients and familiarity with contract terms and conditions in the ancillary sector.

• Proven experience in analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement and find solutions.

• Experience delivering customer service to both internal and external customers, including adhering to quality standards for services.

• Experience in Home Infusion or Specialty pharmacy.

• Experience with CPR+ is preferred.

• Proficient in time management skills, such as prioritizing, organizing, and tracking details to meet deadlines for multiple projects with various completion dates.

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., using the SUM function, setting borders, adjusting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, and setting headers and footers or print scaling).

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (e.g., applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting pictures, changing slide layouts and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart styles, or formatting fonts).

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word (e.g., inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers, tables, and adjusting table columns).
