This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Assist clients with their contract management needs.
• Execute contract loading, validation, troubleshooting, and training activities.
• Engage in knowledge-sharing initiatives related to Contract Management.
• Maintain current Epic Contract Management certification for RHB390 (acute) and/or RPB390 (physician).
• Perform file balancing and regular maintenance of the contract management system.
• Work with Ensemble clients to address inquiries regarding contract accuracy and potential reimbursement challenges.
• Provide support to Contract Modeling Specialists with troubleshooting, contract evaluation, and navigation within the Epic system.
• Monitor significant update dates pertaining to reimbursement rules, including Medicare OP, DRG, and managed care contract modifications.
• Utilize modeling tools and reports to detect and validate payment discrepancies for referral to the underpayments team.
• Assist revenue cycle departments with calculation and reimbursement inquiries.
• Complete training modules and participate in work-building sessions focused on Epic contract loading.
• Validate contracts to support client financial strategies and reserve assessments.
• Collaborate with team members and leaders to broaden understanding of managed care organizations, contracts, and the Epic system.
• Interpret Epic product upgrade Nova Notes and carry out related contract builds.
• Import and export Epic databases for reporting and troubleshooting purposes.
• Utilize Epic Toolkits for quarterly and annual updates related to Medicare OP and IP.
• At least 2 years of experience in payer reimbursement.
• A minimum of 2 years of Epic certification in RHB390 or RPB390.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Certification in Epic RHB390 or Epic RPB390 Contract Administration.
• Certification as a HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative.
• Must maintain an active Epic Contract Management certification.
• Willingness to embrace innovation, including artificial intelligence.
• Familiarity with managed care organizations, contracts, and relevant healthcare/payer experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and sound judgment.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and effectively utilizing resources.
• Proficiency in understanding and interpreting contract terms, particularly in relation to implementation and operational aspects.
• Ability to identify, investigate, and resolve complex financial and operational issues related to providers.
• Recommended proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Epic and/or other contract management software is beneficial.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
• Willingness and ability to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as needed by the business.
