This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and various structured problem-solving methodologies to eliminate waste and achieve measurable cost savings.
• Recognize and implement opportunities to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance throughout processing plants and transfer stations.
• Educate, lead, and foster skills within cross-functional teams regarding loss elimination tools and methodologies.
• Influence and engage individuals at all levels of the organization—from frontline team members to senior leaders—to partake in ideation, active problem-solving, prioritization, solution development, testing, and full-scale deployment.
• Mentor and train site teams on Lean principles, structured problem-solving, and root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., PDCA, DMAIC, AMD, Loss Analysis, 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone).
• Cultivate internal Continuous Improvement (CI) champions and establish sustainment mechanisms to guarantee the long-term success of initiatives.
• Assist in process design enhancements, automation initiatives, and infrastructure optimization efforts that lower costs and boost throughput.
• Collaborate with regional and site leadership to propel initiatives that decrease operational expenses through improved process efficiency, waste reduction, and resource optimization.
• Strengthen data-driven decision-making and evidence-based validation as standard practices for solution development and implementation.
• Create and standardize best practices that enhance reliability, minimize variability, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Partner with regional operations leadership to prioritize and implement improvement initiatives that align with both regional and national objectives.
• Work alongside local and national Maintenance and Engineering teams to boost equipment performance, reduce downtime, and optimize asset utilization.
• Travel approximately 50% of the time across various business units.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in continuous improvement, process engineering, or operational excellence roles within manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environments.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Demonstrated experience applying structured problem-solving methodologies like PDCA, DMAIC, DFSS, or 8D in a manufacturing or distribution context.
• Proven success in executing structured loss elimination projects that resulted in quantifiable cost savings.
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, with the capability to influence across all organizational levels.
• Established ability to lead change across multi-site or regional operations.
• Comfortable with hands-on tasks in plant and transfer station settings.
• Experience working with engineering and maintenance teams on process optimization projects.
