Content Strategist

📋 Description

• Oversee the structure, optimization, and daily performance of short-form content.

• Guide the daily structural direction of short-form content, evaluating reels and shorts during production.

• Brief editors and creatives on elements such as hooks, retention structure, payoff placement, pacing, and platform-native formatting.

• Utilize poker expertise and audience psychology for content selection and structuring.

• Create and enhance repeatable content formats based on performance analysis.

• Conduct weekly performance reviews focusing on reach, hook retention, watch-through rates, and shares and saves per reach.

• Publish written summaries of iterations and update briefing standards as necessary.

• Elevate the editing team’s structural standards through constructive feedback, documented best practices, and illustrative examples.

• Identify top-performing organic content and recommend boost candidates to the performance marketing team.

• Collaborate with creative, CRM, and ambassador teams on campaigns and partner content initiatives.

• Stay informed on platform algorithm changes, new formats, and competitor strategies.

• Disseminate relevant insights and best practices with the team.

• Demonstrated success in growing short-form audiences for a brand, publisher, or personal channel, with quantifiable results.

• Strong knowledge of poker and the ability to interpret a hand.

• Capacity to identify dramatic, engaging, or humorous moments in poker.

• Extensive understanding of short-form performance metrics, including hook retention, watch-through rates, and shares and saves per reach.

• Experience in executing a test-and-iterate approach based on performance metrics.

• Ability to brief editors and creatives on content structure, hooks, pacing, and payoff placement effectively.

• Proficient at providing feedback that leads to measurable improvements in output.

• In-depth comprehension of audience psychology and platform mechanics.

• Sound judgment to differentiate between enduring structural principles and fleeting trends.

• Comfortable functioning as a senior individual contributor, directing output through briefs and standards rather than overseeing direct reports.
