Content Localization Specialist – Japanese, Korean

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Korea.

📋 Description

• Translation and localization of content

• Conduct Japanese-Korean translation and localization for in-app educational and marketing materials, focusing on pedagogical approaches.

• Refine and enhance translated/localized materials through quality assurance tasks to achieve an optimal learning experience for Korean learners studying Chinese.

• Development and creation of content

• As necessary, design and compose in-app educational resources (such as lesson scripts, activities, and vocabulary lists) systematically for Korean learners at varying levels of Simplified Chinese proficiency, under the guidance of the manager.

• Support for content-related projects

• As needed, assist in the operation of content-related initiatives, including uploading scripts, quality assurance of lessons, and coordinating operational components under the training and guidance of the manager.

• Effective communication and collaboration with international team members

• Follow directions from the manager effectively, execute tasks, complete projects, and maintain clear communication throughout the process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native proficiency in Japanese and native or near-native proficiency in Korean, both in writing and speaking

• Strong understanding of both languages and the current landscape of Korean learning in Japan

• Proven experience and expertise in Japanese-Korean translation and localization

• Background in teaching Korean, language pedagogy, or curriculum design

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership and initiative

• Enthusiasm for technology-enhanced language learning and a willingness to learn and utilize advanced technologies in the role

• Proficient in English
