This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create innovative print and digital products, focusing on K-2 Core Development for the writing segment of Max Literacy.
• Assess, develop, and refine instructional materials for children, families, and educators.
• Uphold the integrity of instructional design centered around Writing for Understanding pedagogy and content scopes and sequences.
• Collaborate with pedagogical specialists, editorial leadership, and content creators to produce print and digital materials.
• Review, edit, and authorize manuscripts throughout the production phases.
• Oversee, mentor, and train content developers of varying experience levels.
• Provide constructive feedback and revisions to ensure high-quality products across different units and grades.
• Integrate feedback from Professional Development, Sales and Marketing, Editorial leadership, and pedagogical specialists.
• Participate in meetings focused on content, workflow, and product progress.
• Work collaboratively across reading, word study, and digital teams to deliver a unified user experience.
• Stay updated on educational trends and offer guidance and mentorship to internal teams.
• Assist in generating concepts for new print and digital product ideas.
• Aid in the creation of sales tools, teacher training resources, and district support materials.
• Complete weekly time-tracking documentation.
• Support quality assurance processes for new digital products.
• Over 10 years of editing experience within the education market.
• Proven experience in developing materials for both children and adults from manuscript stage to final format.
• MA or MS degree in education or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• PhD is advantageous.
• Preferred experience in K-12 classroom teaching.
• Exceptional editorial skills with the ability to take products from inception to final execution.
• Strong management capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the capacity to multitask and adapt to evolving priorities.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• A genuine passion for fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
