Content Architect, Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the Education-related architecture for platforms dedicated to content production and learning delivery.

• Collaborate closely with IT teams to shape long-term roadmaps and architectural strategies.

• Work alongside fellow Content Architects to ensure alignment of platform architecture with production workflows and operational excellence.

• Guide Education’s transition towards advanced publishing technologies.

• Ensure that new enterprise systems are designed and set up to fulfill Education’s instructional, editorial, accessibility, and operational requirements.

• Establish standards, governance protocols, metadata frameworks, and best practices for platform utilization across Education.

• Propel continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance automation, minimize manual tasks, and elevate production quality.

• Facilitate the delivery of curriculum in various output formats through streamlined single-source publishing workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience with XML publishing workflows and single-source publishing within a production setting.

• Strong grasp of enterprise content management systems and their role in managing complex publishing operations.

• Experience collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders to transform operational requirements into platform enhancements.

• Demonstrated ability to oversee intricate, technically demanding production environments with a keen focus on quality and precision.

• Background in influencing platform choices, architectural pathways, or technology roadmaps.

• Exceptional collaboration skills with the capacity to work effectively with IT, Product, vendors, and content production teams.

• Experience acquired in digital publishing, educational publishing, learning technology, or similarly intricate content environments.
