Consultative Pharmacist 2

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Deliver clinical assessments and consultations regarding medication requests, prior authorizations, and benefit determinations.

• Assess the appropriateness of therapy, dosing, and safety in accordance with evidence-based guidelines.

• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions and suggest alternatives when necessary.

• Assist with complex case reviews and appeals by providing precise clinical documentation.

• Identify opportunities to enhance medication adherence, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

• Educate internal teams on formulary management, utilization review, and updates to pharmacy policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• R.Ph required; PharmD preferred.

• Must possess a full, current, and unrestricted pharmacist license in PA, TN, and/or OH.

• Capability to obtain additional state licensure depending on business requirements.

• A minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred (retail, hospital, or managed care).

• Proficient understanding of formulary management, clinical guidelines, and pharmacy benefit structures.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and consultative abilities.

• Ability to demonstrate sound clinical judgment and work autonomously.

• Dedication to evidence-based practices and ongoing professional development.
