This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Provide technical coordination and substantial support for resource mobilization initiatives.
• Ensure alignment with the priorities and requirements of donors or financing partners.
• Develop, write, and submit expressions of interest, concept notes, funding proposals, and other donor-facing materials.
• Source and synthesize evidence from countries or regions, GPW14 indicators, lessons learned, and case studies.
• Convert internal budget formats into donor templates and draft clear and coherent budget narratives.
• Write cover letters, prepare talking points, and contribute to high-level correspondence with donors.
• Create investment cases and financing proposals that are ready for investment, tailored to the priorities of financing partners.
• Oversee the development and consolidation of all components related to proposals and investment cases.
• Ensure that proposals and investment cases adhere to UN and WHO guidelines and principles.
• Participate in after-action reviews to capture lessons learned and facilitate continuous improvement.
• Advanced university degree in social sciences, public health, international development, public policy, communications, or a related field.
• More than five years of relevant experience in crafting multi-million-dollar funding proposals or investment cases for public health, humanitarian, climate, or development programs, with a demonstrated history of securing successful outcomes at the international level.
• Over ten years of relevant experience in developing multi-million-dollar funding proposals or investment cases for public health, humanitarian, climate, or development programs, with a proven record of achieving successful outcomes at the international level.
• Experience working within or alongside the WHO/UN system or other international organizations.
• Proven expertise in managing multiple stakeholders (Government, partners, consultants, country offices) effectively to achieve project goals and deliverables successfully.
• Experience in coordinating proposal development processes across multiple countries and/or stakeholders.
• Experience in creating proposals for a diverse range of donors, including bilateral donors, philanthropic organizations, private sector entities, and/or multilateral development banks, multilateral climate funds, or development finance institutions.
• Background or experience in health systems and/or health policy.
• Experience in developing investment cases, costed plans, or financing proposals within the health or development sector.
• Experience working in the Asia-Pacific region.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive narratives tailored to various audiences.
• Ability to quickly review and synthesize technical information from policy documents, tenders, or other government publications.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills, capable of managing inputs from multiple stakeholders across hybrid teams (both virtual and in-person) within tight deadlines.
• Travel costs excluded.
• Consultants will operate as independent contractors in a personal capacity.
