Consultant – International Recommendations for a Culture Satellite Account

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• The consultant will utilize the UIS 2018 International Recommendations for a CSA draft document as a foundation to update and revise it, ultimately creating the new International Recommendations for Culture Satellite Accounts document.

• The document will encompass, but will not be restricted to: Outlining the essential concepts and definitions and illustrating how the CSA integrates into the overall System of National Accounts (SNA).

• Detailing the uses and limitations associated with a CSA.

• Specifying the necessary criteria for developing a CSA.

• Generating the required summary tables.

• Identifying the initial aggregates.

• Compiling and clarifying the fundamental indicators.

• Addressing any particular issues that arise.

• Determining the necessary classifications.

• Recognizing the recommended data sources.

• Reviewing previous UIS efforts concerning the international recommendations for a CSA (CSA).

• Integrating insights gained from the UIS global consultation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s or PhD degree (or equivalent) in economics, a related applied quantitative field, or cultural economics.

• A minimum of 10 years of pertinent professional experience in economic statistics and/or economic research and/or working with Systems of National Accounts.

• Exceptional English writing and editing capabilities.

• Proven ability to conduct thorough research.

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

• Competent in time management.

• Ability to work independently.

• Client-focused with a collaborative approach.

• Proficiency in an additional United Nations language (such as French, Spanish, or Arabic) is considered beneficial for fulfilling the requirements of this role.
