Consultant – International Recommendations for a Culture Satellite Account

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Revise and update the UIS 2018 International Recommendations for a CSA draft document.

• Explain key concepts and definitions, and detail how the CSA integrates within the overall System of National Accounts (SNA).

• Outline the applications and constraints of a CSA.

• Determine the necessary criteria for developing a CSA.

• Create required summary tables.

• Identify initial aggregates and fundamental indicators.

• Address specific issues.

• Specify required classifications and suggest recommended data sources.

• Review previous UIS efforts on the international recommendations for a CSA and incorporate findings from global consultations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced university degree (Master's or PhD degree, or equivalent) in economics or a related applied quantitative discipline, or in the field of cultural economics.

• A minimum of 10 years of pertinent professional experience in economic statistics, economic research, or work with Systems of National Accounts.

• Exceptional English writing and editing capabilities.

• Proven ability to conduct research.

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in managing time effectively.

• Capacity to work independently.

• Client-focused and collaborative.

• Demonstrates excellent proficiency in both spoken and written English.

• Familiarity with an additional United Nations language (French, Spanish, or Arabic) is considered beneficial for fulfilling the requirements of this assignment.
