Consultant – Global Monitoring

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria.

📋 Description

• Engaging in projects, consultations, training sessions, and workshops with our clients.

• Designing and executing solutions and projects within the SCOM environment, focusing on the monitoring of core Microsoft services such as Windows Server OS, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Servers, Print Servers, Exchange, SQL, and IIS.

• Overseeing hardware monitoring, including server hardware, storage, and network components.

• Handling monitoring products like VMware, Citrix, SAP, and Unix/Linux servers.

• Performing advanced SCOM authoring tasks, such as creating monitors, rules, tasks, recovery tasks, and distributed applications.

• Generating custom reports using SCOM and SSRS.

• Developing dashboards using HTML and PowerShell, alongside SquaredUp.

• Facilitating site-to-site migrations of SCOM environments, conducting in-place upgrades, and patching.

• Establishing alerting mechanisms, including subscriptions and SMS alerts via Sysman for various teams.

• Building high availability setups for resilient SCOM environments utilizing SQL AlwaysOn and multiple management servers.

• Crafting custom management packs.

• Designing solutions.

• Coordinating projects and overseeing implementation.

• Maintaining effective communication with customers and partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed technical education or vocational training.

• Extensive experience with System Center Operations Manager from 2012 to 2019.

• A responsible, meticulous, structured, and independent working approach.

• A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and a strong focus on customer satisfaction and solutions.
