This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Contributing to the establishment and further development of data protection structures (DSMS) and processes.
• Acting as the appointed external data protection officer.
• Implementation and maintenance of documentation (e.g., record of processing activities, policies).
• Assisting with DSFA/DPIA: preparation, moderation, documentation.
• Conducting training and awareness sessions aimed at making data protection comprehensible.
• Collaborating with information/IT security and compliance interfaces.
• Performing data protection audits.
• Completed studies or equivalent experience in IT security, computer science, business administration, or security management.
• A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in consulting on data protection, data security, and compliance.
• Knowledge of standards/regulations: Required: GDPR, national data protection laws; Optional: ISO 27701, ISO 27018, AI Regulation.
• Certification as a data protection officer.
• Nice-to-have: Certification as a data protection auditor.
• Pragmatic approach with the ability to translate legal requirements into understandable actions.
• Capability to build long-term client relationships.
• Willingness to assume project and client responsibilities.
• Excellent self-organization and analytical approach.
• Team player.
• Very good German language skills, good English language skills.
