Consultant, Cyber Architecture

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Evaluating and analyzing the security architectures of both internal and external customers, identifying potential risks, and providing actionable recommendations.

• Engaging in discussions about security architecture with customers to assess architectural and hardening risks.

• Aiding in the formulation of strategic, operational, and tactical recommendations customized for each client.

• Collaborating closely with organizations to perform security architecture and controls assessments grounded in industry standards and frameworks.

• Partnering with fellow Cyber Architects to support and facilitate the execution and delivery of essential consulting services.

• Leading significant security projects in coordination with other members of the Presidio cybersecurity team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, including military experience.

• At least 6-10 years of professional experience, with a preference for prior consulting experience.

• Relevant certifications in the security industry, such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity, ISACA Cybersecurity Fundamentals, and cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, CCSK, CCSP).

• Professional certification in networking or security from a recognized vendor.

• Basic architectural and technical understanding in all of the following areas, with substantial expertise in at least two: Cloud Security, Security Controls, Firewalls, NAC, IPS/IDS, Endpoint, Content Filter, VPN, SIEM, Identity Security, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), IDaaS, Directory Services.

• Capability to maintain professionalism and composure in all client interactions across diverse industry sectors.

• Proven decision-making abilities regarding the design and implementation of secure architectures.
