Consultant – Advisory Geospatial

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Delivering and providing geospatial insights to assist various advisory projects related to geography, geospatial analysis, and GIS technologies.

• Work closely with Woolpert’s Geospatial Advisory and Innovation team to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of proposals and projects.

• Collaborate with senior leaders from research organizations, NGOs, and government agencies—both locally and internationally—to offer trusted guidance on geospatial strategy, policy, roadmaps, and program implementation.

• Analyze data from multiple disciplines and utilize your expertise to create and deliver client-centered solutions, with the opportunity to develop enhanced solutions for complex issues and address complaints creatively, using logic and experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a Spatial Information or Spatial Science field such as GIS, Surveying, Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Applied Science, Geography, etc.

• 2-5 years of experience in a strategic advisory or consulting role within the spatial information sector.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capability to articulate complex geospatial concepts to non-technical audiences, as well as experience in developing, managing, and executing projects.

• Strong understanding of geospatial concepts, theories, and techniques, with expertise in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and geospatial databases.

• Knowledge of geospatial data formats such as shapefiles, GeoTIFF, and KML, along with a solid understanding of spatial analysis, including spatial statistics, network analysis, and geoprocessing.
