This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• The Scheduler is responsible for managing intricate project schedules to guarantee timely and efficient project completion.
• Develop and sustain comprehensive schedules, assess progress and risks, and assist in decision-making through forecasting and scenario analysis.
• Work closely with project teams, reporting on schedule performance and aiding in claims or dispute assessments.
• Provide leadership by mentoring junior staff and establishing effective scheduling best practices.
• Oversee the preparation of project schedules in alignment with established project execution philosophies.
• Conduct reviews of contractor schedules to ensure contract compliance and quality assurance.
• Analyze contract change orders and amendments for their effects on budget and schedule.
• Execute time impact analyses for project schedule delays and potential claims.
• Engage in negotiations regarding change orders.
• Carry out Critical Path and Earned Value analyses.
• Identify schedule-related issues that emerge during project execution and propose corrective actions and innovative solutions.
• Perform construction/project site visits for progress reporting.
• Review the contractor’s weekly and monthly schedule progress, prepare a narrative of findings, and present this information to management for decision-making.
• Assess and evaluate contractor recovery schedules.
• Conduct cost analyses to support the design and construction phases of capital projects, comparing actual expenditures against budget performance.
• Prepare cost-loaded schedules to facilitate comprehensive cash flow projections.
• Understand, interpret, and apply contracts, policies, and procedures within Build LACCD guidelines.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Exhibit flexibility in scheduling and transportation to work at multiple sites based on assigned duties.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• 5-10 years of experience in project or program scheduling for large construction programs.
• Advanced proficiency in required software, including but not limited to, Primavera Scheduling Software and MS Office Applications like Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Solid understanding of the theories, principles, and practices of cost engineering and scheduling.
• Experience with time impact analysis.
• Familiarity with construction claims and change orders.
• Flexibility in scheduling according to assigned duties.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Knowledgeable in Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
