This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Oversee all facets of project execution, starting from proposal development and initial energy audits through to design, installation, and ongoing service phases.
• Identify initial Energy Conservation Measures and support Business Development and Project Procurement Managers in estimating costs and managing accounts.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to gather technical information.
• Acquire and supervise external contractors.
• Schedule project phases and provide training for customers' maintenance personnel.
• Administer project budgets, change management, revenue forecasts, customer invoicing, and quarterly updates.
• Serve as the primary liaison for internal staff, contractors, subcontractors, and customer representatives.
• Oversee project installation, ensuring that proposals and projects are completed on schedule and within financial constraints.
• Coordinate estimates and pricing with Project Procurement and Business Development Managers.
• Manage client contracts, safety protocols, site regulations, and terms and conditions.
• Scope, price, and negotiate customer change orders.
• Maintain continuous communication with clients regarding work scheduling, project status, costs, and training.
• Gather quotes from contractors, suppliers, and vendors.
• Lead the selection of contractors and vendors, assisting procurement with contract issuance.
• Formulate contracting strategies, bid documents, bid evaluations, final contract documents, and third-party contracts.
• Keep project schedules on track while managing contractor and subcontractor work, as well as the arrival of equipment and supplies.
• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution with a minimum of five (5) years of engineering and construction-related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Engineering and construction-related experience managing construction projects with contract values exceeding $5 million; or an equivalent combination of education and project management experience.
• Proficient in scheduling, spreadsheet software (Excel, Word), cost control, and project management applications.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Procore, and other construction software is preferred.
• Experience with ESPC/UESC or other energy-related performance contracting project development.
• Proven experience in leading project teams.
• Experience in developing schedules and budgets.
• Ability to interact professionally and ethically with customers and others.
• Working knowledge of EM-385, CQM (USACE certification), OSHA, and federal and state safety regulations.
• OSHA 30-hour certification is required.
• First Aid certification is mandatory.
• Capability to obtain clearances for work at military and other critical government facilities.
• Experience in federal contracting is advantageous.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are preferred.
• Ability to manage projects from inception to closure.
• Skilled in managing project budgets and schedules, accurately documenting projects, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Willingness to travel frequently, approximately 50-90%, including overnight stays depending on project location.
