Construction Millwright Foreman

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Guides and oversees a team of millwrights during shifts to ensure adherence to jobsite safety, quality of workmanship, and the organizational objectives and programs for timely project completion.

• Installs machinery and equipment within industrial settings by executing the following tasks.

• Interprets blueprints and schematic drawings to ascertain work procedures.

• Dismantles machinery and relocates equipment.

• Assembles and sets up equipment such as conveyors, dryers, and burners.

• Welds structural steel and machine components.

• Installs compressed air piping, elevator leg spouting, and dust collection systems.

• Constructs foundations for machinery.

• Aligns machinery and equipment.

• Assembles machines and secures them with bolts, welds, rivets, or other fastening methods to foundations or other structures.

• Conducts repairs and lubrication of machinery and equipment.

• Erects buildings.

• Notifies the foreman or superintendent of any issues regarding workmanship, safety, quality, or compliance to prevent damage to workers, the organization, the project, the customer, or the public.

• Manages and directly supervises millwrights assigned to the project site as directed by the foreman or superintendent.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in GMAW or FCAW welding processes.

• Possesses a working knowledge of blueprints.

• Capable of working independently.

• Experience with conveyor systems, bearings, and general equipment is preferred.

• Ability to devise, layout, and plan the sequence of operations.

• Familiarity with weld defects and discontinuities.
