Construction Millwright Foreman

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Oversees and guides a team of millwrights during shifts to ensure adherence to jobsite safety, quality of workmanship, and organizational goals, facilitating the timely completion of projects.

• Installs machinery and equipment within industrial settings by executing the following tasks:

• Interprets blueprints and schematic diagrams to establish work procedures.

• Disassembles machines.

• Relocates machinery and equipment.

• Assembles and installs equipment including conveyors, dryers, and burners.

• Welds structural steel and machine parts.

• Installs compressed air piping, elevator leg spouting, and dust collection systems.

• Constructs foundations for machinery.

• Aligns machines and equipment.

• Assembles machines and secures them to foundations or other structures using bolts, welding, riveting, or other fastening methods.

• Repairs and lubricates machinery and equipment.

• Constructs buildings.

• Notifies the foreman or superintendent of any deficiencies in workmanship, safety, quality, or compliance to mitigate risks to workers, the organization, the project, the customer, or the public.

• Manages and directly oversees millwrights assigned to the project site as instructed by the foreman or superintendent.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in GMAW or FCAW welding processes.

• Possesses a working knowledge of blueprints.

• Capable of working independently.

• Experience with conveyor systems, bearings, and general equipment is preferred.

• Ability to develop, layout, and plan the sequence of operations.

• Understanding of weld defects and discontinuities.
