This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Prepare and negotiate cost estimates and timelines for work.
• Choose suitable construction methods and strategies.
• Provide updates on work progress and budgetary concerns.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals.
• Direct and oversee construction staff, vendors, consultants, and activities.
• Adhere to legal standards, building and safety codes, and other regulations.
• Organize essential site visits for future, ongoing, active, and completed projects.
• Examine all plans before bidding and construction to detect errors or necessary revisions.
• Conduct a detailed take-off of materials estimates from plans (including tile, lighting & fixture counts, RTU’s, etc.).
• Assess shop drawings and submittals.
• Execute and finalize the punch list process for related projects.
• Oversee the transition to Operations/Facilities process.
• Adhere to brand standards and company procedures.
• Serve as a liaison to franchisees throughout development projects.
• Minimum of 5 years of construction experience, including experience with franchisees.
• Previous Project Manager responsibilities or similar roles in the construction industry, with preference for restaurant construction.
• Experience in reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and project budgets.
• Proficient in construction scheduling and project management software.
• Capability to manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to interact with various trades and disciplines.
• A two-year college degree is preferred.
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration to support operations, facilities, and other departments.
• Willingness to travel weekly (multi-state and international).
• Experience in a franchise organization is preferred.
• Up to 4 weeks of vacation annually, along with additional sick days.
