Construction Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage all facets of various construction projects from beginning to end.

• Evaluate project updates and progress reports, ensuring that Key Performance Indicators are being met.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing clear updates and supporting informed decision-making.

• Supervise general contractors, engineers, architects, and vendors to ensure successful project completion.

• Collaborate with Environmental consultants to guarantee adherence to regulations.

• Analyze project performance based on Key Performance Indicators related to safety, quality, cost, and schedule.

• Develop comprehensive project plans, which include the project charter, schedule, risk management plan, and communication management plan.

• Maintain financial responsibility, including cost estimates, budget preparation, change orders, and project closure.

• Lead the design review process to ensure conformity with defined scope and specifications for approvals.

• Oversee permitting processes and aid in negotiations with regulatory agencies as necessary.

• Manage the bid process and provide recommendations for contractor selection.

• Offer field oversight and guidance throughout the execution phase, from preconstruction to final inspections.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in convenience stores, fueling, or quick-service restaurant environments.

• Knowledge of accessibility and life safety regulations and their applications.

• Proficiency in the installation and maintenance of retail (UST) fueling systems.

• Familiarity with refrigeration equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

• Additional certifications or educational qualifications relevant to this position.

• Experience in construction and project management.

• Bachelor's Degree.

• Alternatively: High School diploma/GED with equivalent experience or a minimum of 4 years of US military experience.
