Construction Estimator – CSA Focused

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive cost plans and estimates from the initial concept to detailed design phases.

• Assist clients with land acquisition processes.

• Present and deliver updated cost plans at key design milestones.

• Evaluate design modifications and new technologies to prepare accurate estimates.

• Offer commercial insights into design optioneering and value engineering efforts.

• Generate cash commitment forecasts throughout the construction life cycle.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop estimates and cost plans.

• Examine labor markets and cost influencers, including unions and taxation.

• Support clients with monthly presentations of financial data.

• Create life cycle costing models for projects.

• Incorporate benchmarking for precise data collection.

• Provide estimating assistance across projects and programs within the life sciences sector.

• Compile benchmarking reports and develop relevant data.

• Measure and estimate projects from foundational principles across all design stages.

• Utilize CSI MasterFormat for measurements.

• Assess third-party estimates for market consistency and report the findings.

• Prepare estimates for project change orders and evaluate EPCM submissions.

• Comply with applicable SOX control responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related construction field.

• At least 3–5 years of relevant industry experience.

• Background in construction cost management, including estimating, cost engineering, project engineering, or project cost controls.

• Experience in program-level cost management for medium to large-scale construction projects.

• Strong foundation in cost estimation and analysis.

• Technical knowledge of the construction industry, encompassing value management and value engineering principles.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Capability to work effectively in a client-facing environment.

• Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and R&D facilities.

• Familiarity with CGMP facilities.

• Proficient in measurement techniques utilizing CSI MasterFormat.

• Experience with measurement software is preferred.

• CostX experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Membership in AACE or a similar organization is preferred but not required.
