This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Evaluate current project estimates, perform material take-offs, and generate various estimate versions from initial concept to final contract pricing.
• Develop and uphold a dependable cost database utilizing historical project information, which includes labor rates, material expenses, and adjustments for price escalation.
• Assess variations, design modifications, and construction alternatives with quick turnaround times.
• Create and sustain estimating templates, guidelines, cost catalogues, and cost codes to standardize project estimation processes.
• Draft scopes of work for subcontractors, dispatch requests for quotes, and follow up on responses.
• Oversee pricing updates, supplier interactions, and contractor documentation.
• Maintain orderly quote tracking systems and supplier records.
• Prepare precise quantity take-offs for use in material purchase orders.
• Assist in enhancing estimating workflows and operational systems.
• Support the integration of AI estimating tools into the organization and verify their outputs for precision.
• Keep project documentation organized within OneDrive and SharePoint.
• Aid in standardizing estimating procedures to ensure every project is set up uniformly, making cost data applicable across the organization.
• 3-5 years of experience in estimating for a construction firm located in Australia, the US, or Europe (strong preference for candidates with estimation experience outside of the Philippines).
• Background in civil engineering, quantity surveying, architecture, or building.
• Ability to confidently manage all primary responsibilities of the position.
• Experience in creating scopes of work and overseeing subcontractor communications.
• Proficient in building or maintaining cost databases and price lists.
• Strong attention to detail paired with exceptional organizational skills.
• Capable of managing multiple systems and quickly learning new software.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience supporting residential construction, custom homes, renovations, or extensions.
