Conflicts Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Evaluate conflict of interest reports for new Firm representations and lateral attorney hires to pinpoint potential conflict issues.

• Resolve conflicts of interest by obtaining necessary consents and drafting ethical wall memoranda.

• Review new matter requests to ensure compliance with Firm policies and professional responsibility standards; edit engagement letters as required.

• Analyze client outside counsel guidelines and assess the Firm’s capacity to adhere to them.

• Supervise the Firm's waiver process.

• Deliver training and orientation to attorneys and staff regarding conflicts procedures and the new matter intake process.

• Lead and mentor Conflicts Analysts, offering guidance, training, and oversight to maintain quality and consistency.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school with active licensure.

• At least five (5) years of experience in conflicts of interest, ethics, and professional responsibility.

• In-depth knowledge of conflict-of-interest principles as per applicable professional responsibility regulations.

• Familiarity with automated systems for new business intake and file opening.

• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to prioritize competing tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Sound judgment and decision-making skills aligned with Firm policies and legal/ethical standards.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with professionals at all organizational levels.
