Conflicts Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +16 more states.

📋 Description

• Works collaboratively with teams in the Conflicts, Client Engagement, and Risk Management departments to identify and address conflicts of interest.

• Oversees and executes specific processes within the Conflicts department, ensuring effective review, identification, and resolution of conflicts of interest.

• Prepares conflicts waivers, evaluates lateral candidates, and offers recommendations for the implementation of ethical walls.

• Keeps detailed and precise records of conflict resolutions.

• Ensures adherence to relevant Rules of Professional Conduct concerning conflicts of interest and client engagement agreements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor and an active law license in the U.S. in the jurisdiction where the candidate resides.

• A minimum of three years of direct, full-time conflicts experience at a large law firm is required.

• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required.

• Familiarity with online reference materials and Boolean searching techniques is preferred.

• Experience with Intapp Open and Intapp Terms is strongly preferred.

• Capability to identify and analyze conflict of interest issues and to recommend and implement solutions.

• Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.

• Skills to track, manage, and prioritize multiple responsibilities, emails, and conflict requests efficiently.

• Strong writing abilities, with the capacity to communicate clearly and succinctly, especially in summarizing and simplifying complex or numerous conflict issues.

• Willingness and availability to travel to other Firm locations as needed.
