This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Lead an Implementation team tasked with providing automated calculations for new clients.
• Manage and cultivate the development of team members.
• Ensure timely, budget-conscious, and quality-driven delivery of new client implementations.
• Evaluate project and team documentation to uphold quality standards.
• Incorporate necessary process changes effectively.
• Champion and advocate for best practices within the team.
• Oversee and approve enhancements to processes.
• Review and finalize project plans, while identifying and addressing risks and issues.
• Assist Programme/Project Managers in guiding projects to successful completion.
• Ensure adequate project resourcing and escalate any resourcing challenges.
• Guide the team in process and delivery strategies.
• Pursue efficiencies and mentor the team on best practices.
• Collaborate with Programme/Project Managers to adhere to project deadlines and timelines.
• Ensure completion of people-management responsibilities, fostering staff development, mentorship, and training.
• Analyze requirements to confirm outputs are suitable for purpose.
• Identify errors through thorough checking and approval processes.
• In-depth technical knowledge of pensions, especially in defined benefit (DB) schemes, with the ability to clarify complex issues.
• Background in system/calculations configuration or operations.
• Strong management and/or leadership capabilities.
• Experience in engaging with clients and both internal and external stakeholders.
• Previous experience in implementing change or working within a project environment.
• Understanding of System Testing and/or User Acceptance Testing.
• Knowledge of calculation proformas, Benefit Basis, Benefit Specifications, scenario matrices, test plans, Calculation Specifications, system debugging, root cause analysis, and triage processes.
• Familiarity with pension administration systems, member records, setup, and operational processing.
• Ability to analyze requirements and ensure outputs meet expectations.
• Current knowledge of legislation and policy changes impacting pensions.
• Comprehensive understanding of DB, DC, CARE, and annuities, including their administration and system/process implications.
• Dedication to quality service and the identification of errors during checking and sign-off.
• Remote working – operate from your preferred location in the UK.
