Configuration Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and uphold the configuration management strategy, which includes the Flosum branching approach, metadata versioning standards, and change control procedures for development teams.

• Define and implement the no-manual-org-changes policy; conduct periodic audits of Salesforce environments to detect undocumented configuration discrepancies.

• Manage the Configuration Item (CI) inventory for all metadata elements (e.g., custom objects, Flows, Apex classes, Permission Sets, Named Credentials, Platform Events, and Shield encryption settings).

• Assist the DevSecOps Engineer with procedures for resolving metadata conflicts and overseeing multi-branch merges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in configuration management for software delivery initiatives, ideally in a DoD or federal setting.

• Proficient understanding of Salesforce metadata types and Flosum or similar Salesforce source control tools.

• Knowledge of CMMI-DEV Configuration Management process area and/or ISO 9001 operational controls.

• Demonstrated experience in establishing CM processes for Agile projects involving multiple teams.

• Active U.S. Government Secret or TS/SCI security clearance is preferred.

• A Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

• Familiarity with DAF aircrew scheduling, stan/eval, or training management mission areas is preferred.

• Experience with in-app help authoring tools (e.g., Salesforce in-app guidance, or equivalent) is preferred.
