This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Take ownership of the Service Configuration Management (SCM) practice and manage the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
• Establish, implement, oversee, and continually enhance the processes and standards for Service Configuration Management.
• Guarantee the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of CMDB data, including the governance and ownership of data quality.
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of Configuration Items (CI), including their relationships, dependencies, and service mapping.
• Ensure that service trees are current and that services are accurately represented within the ITSM solution.
• Integrate the CMDB with other ITIL practices, particularly Change Enablement and automated discovery tools.
• Define and monitor KPIs and reporting for both CMDB and Service Configuration Management.
• Prepare and maintain policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Assist with audit activities and provide evidence of CMDB reporting and compliance.
• Manage data sources and discovery mechanisms, ensuring effective data integration across systems.
• Contribute to other ITIL practices and support the overall management of the IT service lifecycle.
• Foster a positive, service-oriented customer experience.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• A Master’s degree combined with 3 years of experience in IT.
• Exceptional practical knowledge of IT Service Management, particularly in Service Configuration Management.
• Proven track record in implementing, managing, and enhancing CMDB solutions.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Configuration Management and the CMDB.
• Experience in managing CI lifecycles, enforcing governance, and owning data quality.
• Practical experience in integrating CMDB with Change Enablement processes.
• Experience in service mapping, dependency modeling, and managing complex system interoperability.
• Familiarity with automated discovery tools and data source management.
• Strong understanding of the IT service lifecycle management.
• Experience in reporting, defining KPIs, and supporting audits.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrates responsibility, initiative, and a proactive mindset.
• Exhibits a cooperative, supportive, and service-oriented attitude.
• Employs a holistic and forward-thinking approach to problem-solving.
• Highly motivated with the capability to work independently.
• Proficient in English, with a minimum C1 level of proficiency.
