This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assess, examine, diagnose, and document damage to both internal and external composite blades, followed by photographing and compiling necessary documentation.
• Conduct coating and structural repairs on internal and external composite blade structures, including those of wind turbines and nacelles.
• Modify and repair fiberglass, carbon fiber, resin, and other composite materials as required.
• Collaborate with site leadership to fulfill all contractual obligations and activities outlined with customers on a daily basis, which may involve composite repairs related to wind turbines.
• Complete and maintain necessary company and client documentation and records, utilizing computer-based service reporting tools and procedures.
• Execute Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures as needed to ensure a safe working environment.
• At least 2 years of experience working with composite materials in any industry.
• Familiarity with both internal and external adhesive bonding.
• Knowledge of mixed ratios for all composite repair chemicals.
• Basic understanding of repairing leading edge (LE) and trailing edge (TE) cracks.
• Familiarity with WDI/TWP/Work instructions.
• Ability to work in confined space areas, such as inside a wind turbine blade.
• Capability to read and comprehend electrical schematic drawings.
