This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee, +1 more state.
• Assist in the Corporate Compliance Program and ensure client compliance for multi-employer and intricate group benefits administration.
• Investigate and interpret regulatory mandates.
• Recognize compliance risks and propose strategies for mitigation.
• Collaborate across departments to enhance processes, controls, training, documentation, and reporting.
• Keep track of changes in federal and state regulations.
• Oversee necessary filings and business licenses in relevant states, including COA/business licenses, TPA licenses, annual reports, and renewals.
• Aid in HIPAA-related investigations and documentation.
• Support HITRUST R2, SOC 1/SOC 2 audits, control reviews, risk assessments, and compliance training.
• Manage compliance calendars, repositories, and communications.
• Report directly to the Sr. Director of Compliance & Privacy.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in a compliance, regulatory, or similar position within the health insurance, benefits administration, or related healthcare sector.
• Certification or willingness to obtain certifications such as CHC, CIPP/US, CHPC, CRCM, or similar credentials.
• Experience with HITRUST R2 Certification and SOC 1 and SOC 2 audits is essential.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities are necessary.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and SharePoint applications.
• Preference for candidates located in Washington or Tennessee.
• Must live within an approved employment jurisdiction.
