This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.
• Assist in the execution of Spring Venture Group’s Compliance program.
• Research and provide guidance on federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations that affect SVG agencies, including but not limited to HIPAA and TCPA.
• Conduct legal research as directed by the General Counsel.
• Perform contract reviews and create legal documents as assigned by the General Counsel.
• Support the development and application of policies and procedures that align with established legal principles and requirements.
• Raise compliance and privacy issues to the General Counsel.
• Oversee the evaluation of product, compliance, privacy, or operational risks and contribute to risk management strategies.
• Aid in the management of litigation when required.
• Contribute to the annual Compliance Work Plan.
• Maintain a high level of expertise in compliance trends and relevant laws to ensure adherence to compliance practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and admission to at least one state bar in good standing.
• A minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• Active law license in at least one state.
• Healthcare Compliance and Privacy Certifications are advantageous.
• Comprehensive understanding of HIPAA and TCPA.
• Previous experience in health insurance compliance.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong listening abilities.
• Proficient legal research skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the capacity to document detailed information thoroughly and accurately.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others and share knowledge as part of a team.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively interact in diverse cultures with a variety of personalities, both local and virtual.
