This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Assist SAIC's International Trade Compliance Department and Empowered Officials.
• Oversee company licensing operations and ensure adherence to U.S. export/import laws, regulations, and SAIC policies.
• Manage export and import issues in collaboration with ITC Empowered Officials.
• Offer subject matter expertise and guidance to internal clients.
• Review, edit, submit, and provide feedback on U.S. government licensing processes.
• Conduct due diligence on international business transactions.
• Keep track of government policies, regulations, procedures, Federal Register Notices, and Export Control Reforms.
• Assist in the development and delivery of international trade compliance training.
• Create, manage, and uphold trade compliance policies, procedures, and instructions.
• Validate the trade compliance program through assessments, spot checks, investigations, and disclosures.
• Collaborate with International Programs and U.S. government enforcement agencies.
• Monitor corrective actions in OCR.
• Review and authorize invoices, shipping documents, and AES entries for physical export/import transactions.
• Coordinate equipment movement with transportation/logistics staff, brokers, and freight forwarders.
• Aid in trade compliance risk mitigation during mergers and acquisitions.
• Identify deficiencies and implement process enhancements.
• Maintain regulatory records and documentation.
• Address ad hoc International Trade Compliance inquiries.
• Create communications and outreach for ITC.
• Develop and manage outreach platforms for training and reference resources.
• Manage goals, plans, and milestones.
• Support additional International Trade Compliance initiatives as needed.
• Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience in export/import regulatory compliance-related roles; 4 years of experience may substitute for the degree.
• Applicants must be U.S. Citizens.
• Capability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Practical experience and understanding of ITAR, EAR, U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations, OFAC, and Federal Trade Regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Ability to consult with employees across the company in a confidential setting.
• Proficient in training diverse audiences and attendees.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
• Strong leadership qualities and a commitment to integrity and professionalism.
• Independent judgment in assessing data reliability.
• Capacity to think clearly and quickly under pressure while managing competing interests.
• Proven initiative in engaging internal clients and program leadership to develop compliant solutions.
