Community/Social Media Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Utilize your passionate and strategic community management and social media knowledge to cultivate and expand thriving communities around a selection of new indie games.

• Serve as the primary representative of the community within the organization, highlighting feedback, sentiment, and emerging trends.

• Promote a positive, inclusive, and player-centric culture across community platforms.

• Oversee and actively engage with audiences on Discord, Reddit, and Steam Community Hub.

• Create and implement initiatives aimed at enhancing engagement, retention, and advocacy.

• Conduct proactive outreach to fans and niche communities on various social media platforms.

• Identify and collaborate with influencers, community leaders, and grassroots advocates.

• Monitor conversations and trends to guide messaging and engagement strategies.

• Organize and maintain structured content calendars that align with key milestones such as announcements, launches, updates, and live events.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in Community Management, Social Media Management, or Player Engagement within the gaming or entertainment industries.

• Proven hands-on experience managing Discord and Reddit communities at a large scale.

• A successful track record in executing social media and community outreach campaigns.

• Experience in planning and maintaining content calendars related to marketing or live service initiatives.

• Familiarity with supporting or moderating livestreams or community streaming programs.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with game developers and cross-functional internal teams (including marketing, development, creative services, and influencer managers).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a clear, authentic, and player-focused voice.

• Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable to a fast-paced work environment.
