Community Programs Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Take charge of a specified geographic area, effectively building and sustaining a strong sales pipeline by identifying and qualifying new public sector and institutional clients, including law enforcement, fire/EMS, educational institutions, and municipal organizations.

• Proactively connect with key decision-makers through a mix of in-person visits, outbound calls, emails, and strategic outreach, customizing messaging and solutions to align with client-specific needs and challenges.

• Execute impactful product demonstrations and presentations, successfully showcasing both physical and SaaS-based emergency response and safety solutions, and clearly communicating their value in relation to client objectives.

• Cultivate deep product and technical knowledge, keeping abreast of evolving solutions, use cases, and industry best practices to act as a consultative advisor to prospects and clients.

• Utilize sales tools and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, SharePoint, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office) to streamline activities, document interactions, manage pipeline stages, and enhance performance metrics.

• Travel regularly within your designated territory (approximately 30%) to foster strong client relationships, conduct on-site visits, attend demonstrations, and finalize deals in person when suitable.

• Approach every stage of the sales cycle with curiosity, resilience, and a solution-oriented mindset—overcoming objections, discovering alternative pathways, and continuously refining your approach based on feedback and learning.

• Build trust and long-lasting partnerships with a variety of key customers and stakeholders, adjusting communication styles to suit diverse audiences and organizational structures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven Sales Success: Several years of demonstrated achievement in outside sales, particularly in selling emergency response, safety, medical equipment, or related products and services to public sector clients such as law enforcement, fire departments, EMS, educational institutions, and municipal organizations.

• Territory Management: Extensive experience in owning and managing a geographic territory, independently creating a high-performing pipeline, engaging key decision-makers, and developing strategic relationships.

• Presentation & Product Expertise: Proficient in delivering effective in-person product demonstrations and sales presentations for both SaaS and physical product solutions.

• Technical Aptitude: Demonstrated ability to swiftly acquire deep technical knowledge and master innovative products and solutions.

• Tool Proficiency: Skilled in using sales and productivity tools, including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Salesforce, and Google Workspace.

• Interpersonal Strengths: Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, complemented by strong organizational and leadership skills. Maintains a proactive, solution-focused attitude, along with a positive, patient, and collaborative approach.
