Community Programs Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Take charge of a designated geographic area by managing and nurturing a strong sales pipeline, focusing on identifying and qualifying new public sector and institutional clients, such as law enforcement, fire/EMS, educational institutions, and municipal organizations.

• Actively engage with key decision-makers through a mix of in-person meetings, outbound calls, emails, and strategic outreach, customizing messaging and solutions to meet client-specific demands and challenges.

• Conduct impactful product demonstrations and presentations, effectively highlighting both physical and SaaS-based emergency response and safety solutions while clearly articulating their value in relation to client objectives.

• Acquire in-depth product and technical knowledge, remaining up-to-date on evolving solutions, use cases, and industry best practices to serve as a consultative advisor to prospects and clients.

• Utilize sales tools and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, SharePoint, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office) to organize activities, document interactions, manage pipeline stages, and enhance performance metrics.

• Travel frequently within your designated territory (approximately 30%) to cultivate strong client relationships, conduct on-site visits, participate in demonstrations, and finalize deals in person when advantageous.

• Approach every phase of the sales cycle with curiosity, resilience, and a solution-oriented mindset—addressing objections, discovering alternative solutions, and consistently refining your strategy through feedback and learning.

• Build trust and long-lasting partnerships with a variety of key customers and stakeholders, adapting communication styles to fit diverse audiences and organizational structures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven Sales Success: Several years of demonstrated achievement in outside sales, particularly in selling emergency response, safety, medical equipment, or similar products and services to public sector clients—such as law enforcement, fire departments, EMS, educational institutions, and municipal organizations.

• Territory Management: Significant experience in owning and managing a geographic territory, independently developing a high-performing pipeline, engaging key decision-makers, and building strategic relationships.

• Presentation & Product Expertise: Proficient in delivering compelling in-person product demonstrations and sales presentations for both SaaS and physical product solutions.

• Technical Aptitude: Established capability to rapidly develop extensive technical expertise and master innovative products and solutions.

• Tool Proficiency: Skilled in utilizing sales and productivity tools including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Salesforce, and Google Workspace.

• Interpersonal Strengths: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, complemented by strong organizational and leadership capabilities. Maintains a proactive, solution-oriented mindset while fostering a positive, patient, and collaborative approach.
