This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Act as a representative for UMB at various community events and business development activities.
• Foster financial literacy and pinpoint community needs to align with offered products and services.
• Build and sustain referral partnerships with community organizations, internal stakeholders, real estate agents, and clients.
• Suggest products or services based on community feedback to improve existing credit offerings.
• Advise and pre-qualify prospective home buyers regarding credit and affordability options.
• Conduct pre-qualification/pre-approval assessments, clarifying rates, terms, payment amounts, and mortgage insurance to applicants.
• Deliver essential information and keep applicants informed of their status through clear communication.
• Direct efforts towards increasing home ownership for first-time buyers.
• Offer financial education training tailored to meet community needs.
• Engage with housing agencies and governmental bodies focused on community lending to remain relevant in addressing community requirements.
• Structure and originate first mortgage loans while gathering supporting documentation to comply with federal, state, and company regulations and procedures.
• Advocate for bank-wide products and programs aimed at benefiting the communities served by UMB.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• 3-5 years of experience in mortgage and banking sectors.
• Any combination of education and experience that provides a comparable background.
• Proficient business communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong time management and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrating strong initiative and dependability.
• In-depth knowledge of FHA, VA, CONV guidelines, and the local real estate market.
• Current registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System Registry is required.
• Capability to obtain the necessary S.A.F.E registration upon employment.
• Willingness to travel and work outside the office on a regular basis.
