Community Manager

Posted Jul 28

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with your counterpart, the North America Community Manager, to address regional needs, prioritize tasks, and provide an exceptional member experience.

• Be a prominent and trusted representative of GTIA throughout North America — engaging at industry events, speaking on stage, online, and in the field — with substantial involvement in the ITSP community.

• Attract new members by leveraging existing channel relationships and integrating your network — particularly ITSPs — into the GTIA community.

• Cultivate, engage, and expand the GTIA North America community, encompassing ITSPs, vendors, distributors, and channel partners across all stages.

• Formulate and execute strategies aimed at enhancing member engagement and retention, with a solid grasp of what creates value for ITSP businesses specifically.

• Clearly convey GTIA’s value proposition with confidence and authenticity — engaging in genuine conversations rather than delivering sales pitches.

• Advocate for our mission, vision, and core values — Member First | Growth Minded | Build Together | Share the Vibe — in all your endeavors.

• Identify and partner with strategic allies to promote GTIA’s membership and industry goals.

• Spearhead local chapter activation and engagement within the region, supporting the larger GTIA global community framework.

• Work alongside GTIA internal teams to harmonize regional activities with organizational objectives.

• Keep abreast of ITSP industry trends, advancements, and best practices; integrate relevant insights into community initiatives and strategies.

• Gather member insights, requirements, and feedback to ensure GTIA continuously enhances its value for those we serve.

• Maintain a consistent presence — in community forums, on social media, at events, and in critical conversations that matter to ITSPs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A well-established reputation within the IT channel — particularly among ITSPs — who trust you and will transition with you to GTIA.

• In-depth, firsthand knowledge of the ITSP business model: understanding the financial pressures, operational challenges, vendor relationships, and community dynamics that characterize the industry.

• A genuine passion for the channel community and the individuals and businesses that comprise it.

• Demonstrated capability to cultivate engaged communities — not merely filling membership rosters, but fostering a sense of belonging and momentum.

• Strong communication skills: proficient in both written and verbal contexts to effectively engage members, facilitate discussions, and promote community initiatives.

• Excellent interpersonal skills to build and sustain relationships, fostering trust and collaboration within the ecosystem and beyond.

• Comfort and credibility in a vendor-neutral setting — representing the community rather than a single company.

• Ability to formulate and implement strategic plans and initiatives.

• Skill in identifying challenges and opportunities within the community, devising creative solutions, and effectively addressing issues to improve member satisfaction and engagement.

• Solid comprehension of common technologies and business models prevalent in the IT channel, with particular expertise in managed services.

• Strong facilitation and public speaking abilities, with experience in webinars, panels, and live events.

• Proficiency in PowerPoint and conducting online meetings and webinars.

• Previous experience in developing and leading inclusion programs.

• Self-motivated and entrepreneurial spirit: capable of generating ideas, executing them, and knowing when to seek assistance.

• Willingness to travel for events, member visits, and community activations throughout North America.
