This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more states.
• Collaborate with your Community Manager to gain insights into your market and prioritize impactful messaging.
• Assist in the planning and execution of events such as memorable parties, local meet-ups, and happy hours.
• Acquire hands-on experience in digital and social media marketing by creating and organizing social media content that aligns with regional objectives for channel growth and enhanced engagement.
• Aid in maintaining Yelp’s local online business listings through our app and website by flagging photos, identifying media alerts and scams, and ensuring the accuracy of business information.
• Contribute to online community development by engaging with Yelpers through the app/website in various ways.
• Currently a college student, a recent graduate, or looking to transition into a community-building role.
• Reside in the North County San Diego area and possess reliable transportation (Required).
• Must be at least 21 years of age (Required).
• Consider yourself a local expert, knowledgeable about current trends in the area, and passionate about supporting small businesses.
• Have experience and enthusiasm for planning and coordinating events.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Well-organized with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience in social media copywriting and asset coordination is preferred.
• Availability to work 10-19 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of some weekend hours.
• Capable of lifting up to 10 pounds without assistance.
