This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish and nurture relationships with local leaders, community organizations, NGOs, and residents.

• Design and implement community engagement strategies for both new and established sites.

• Represent OpenAI at public forums, hearings, and community events.

• Collaborate with the Economic Development Lead to ensure compliance with incentives and community benefits.

• Work alongside the Environmental Lead to communicate efforts related to environmental stewardship and sustainability.

• Create proactive communications to address community concerns, highlight advantages, and mitigate opposition risks.

• Monitor community sentiment and provide executives with insights on risks and opportunities.

• Develop a scalable community engagement playbook applicable across various geographies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in community affairs, public engagement, or corporate communications.

• Demonstrated success in engaging diverse community stakeholders for significant infrastructure or technology projects.

• Exceptional public speaking and facilitation abilities.

• Capability to handle sensitive political and reputational matters.

• Experience in integrating community benefits (workforce, education, infrastructure support) into development plans.

• Team-oriented and flexible, with a background in collaborating with government, community, and corporate teams.
