Communications Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create Executive Summaries.

• Comprehend and facilitate urgent timelines related to contract transitions.

• Formulate and implement a strategic communications plan.

• Review and enhance existing member communications.

• Craft and design new materials aimed at members.

• Organize communication activities across various functions.

• Establish feedback mechanisms and align services with the current eNews contract.

• Conduct technical edits, quality assurance checks, and 508 compliance assessments on publications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree in a relevant field, such as digital marketing, communications, or public affairs.

• Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in strategic communication, encompassing the development of communication plans, marketing, writing, and stakeholder engagement.

• Detail-oriented and organized; able to manage deadlines and multitask effectively.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, both technical and in plain language.

• Capable of performing meticulous technical edits on both short and long documents.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.

• Experienced in managing Section 508 compliance efforts, including foundational 508 knowledge, tagging, and using Adobe Acrobat accessibility tools.

• Familiarity with Stakeholder Management and contract transitions.

• Knowledge of health plans.
