Communications Manager, Public Affairs

📋 Description

• Oversee sustainability communications: Create and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that showcases GE Vernova’s sustainability objectives, achievements, and collaborations across various channels (media, digital, internal).

• Aid policy and government affairs narratives: Collaborate with the Policy and Government Affairs (PGA) team to convey essential initiatives, advocacy goals, and thought leadership in support of the energy transition.

• Enhance content development: Draft and refine press releases, media materials, executive talking points, blogs, speeches, social media posts, and internal communications that effectively highlight GE Vernova’s sustainability and policy efforts.

• Manage strategic initiatives: Supervise communication campaigns and projects from inception to completion—ensuring adherence to deadlines, maintaining quality, and maximizing impact.

• Collaborate across departments: Partner closely with business unit communications leaders, marketing, sustainability, legal, and external agencies to synchronize messaging and maintain consistency.

• Inject creative energy: Discover new opportunities, platforms, and formats to narrate GE Vernova’s story in innovative and impactful ways.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 8 years of relevant experience.

• Knowledge of energy, climate, sustainability, or related public policy matters.

• Excellent written communication skills capable of articulating business benefits and outcomes.

• Creative thinker with a proven track record of generating innovative ideas and executing them from concept to completion.

• Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

• Willingness to travel as required and to work outside of standard business hours when necessary.

• Availability to work during Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours.
