Communications Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Continuously pitch and secure coverage in mainstream, tier-1, and industry media to establish MoonPay as a globally recognized brand.

• Manage the complete press release process — from drafting and internal reviews to legal approvals, partner sign-offs, and wire distribution through PR Newswire.

• Develop and sustain MoonPay's media contact network, actively seeking new journalists to foster ongoing relationships with key press contacts to encourage future coverage.

• Handle incoming press inquiries, collaborating with internal subject-matter experts to deliver prompt and accurate responses.

• Monitor and compile detailed media coverage reports and visibility metrics.

• Write supporting content, including blog posts for MoonPay’s Newsroom.

• Assist in sourcing and drafting award nominations and industry list submissions.

• Create briefing documents and talking points for executives in preparation for conference panels, fireside chats, and media interviews.

• Facilitate speaker logistics for events — including registrations, scheduling, and coordination with event organizers.

• Collaborate across time zones with product, partnerships, legal, and leadership teams to ensure alignment on messaging and announcement timelines.

• Oversee relationships with PR tools and vendor platforms.

• Maintain the GTM pipeline tracker and identify scheduling conflicts or dependencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in journalism, communications, public relations, or media relations — preferably in crypto, fintech, or high-growth tech sectors.

• Exceptional writing abilities — capable of creating polished, accurate, and engaging press releases, blog posts, briefing documents, and social media content.

• Comfortable working across product, partnerships, and legal teams in a fast-paced, asynchronous environment.

• Highly organized with a strong capability to manage multiple projects concurrently and navigate a fast-moving editorial calendar.

• Familiarity with wire distribution services and PR tools such as Muck Rack, Cision, or similar platforms.

• Background in crypto or blockchain with an understanding of stablecoins, on/off-ramps, and regulatory landscapes.

• Experience coordinating with external PR agencies and managing international media coverage (not mandatory).

• Previous agency experience at a crypto or fintech-focused PR firm (not mandatory).
